SB19 was recognized at the Philippine Senate on Monday, September 28, following the group's historic performance at the Lollapalooza Music Festival in Chicago.

The P-pop group attended the Senate plenary session as lawmakers honored one of its biggest international milestones.
According to GMA News, the recognition was connected to Senate Resolution No. 545, which congratulated and commended SB19 for its achievements and contributions to the Philippine creative industries.
Sen. Bam Aquino, the principal sponsor of the resolution, also gave a lighthearted nod to one of SB19's biggest hits while recognizing the group.

"We can say that they have been proving that Filipino talent is 'GENTO,'" Aquino said, as quoted by GMA News.
The resolution was filed after SB19 made history at Lollapalooza Chicago on July 30, 2026.
The group, composed of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin, became the first Filipino act to perform at the major international music festival. Their set was held at the Allianz Stage in Grant Park, Chicago.
During their approximately 48-minute performance, SB19 performed several of their songs, including "Gento," "Dam," "Dungka," "Mapa," and "Wakas."
They also performed newer tracks such as "Lawless" and "Emoji," while giving the international crowd a taste of Filipino music and P-pop.
After the performance, the group shared how meaningful the milestone was for them and their supporters.
"We never imagined we'd one day perform on a global stage and represent the Philippines," SB19 said in a social media post cited by Philstar.
The group added that the achievement was not only theirs but also belonged to those who had supported them through the years.
Aside from Aquino's Senate Resolution No. 545, Sen. Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan also filed Senate Resolution No. 573 in August to recognize SB19's Lollapalooza achievement.
Pangilinan described the performance as a "momentous occasion" for Filipino excellence in music, arts, and dance. His resolution also highlighted SB19's role in bringing Original Pilipino Music to a wider global audience.
The Senate recognition adds another milestone to SB19's growing list of international achievements as the group continues to bring P-pop and Filipino music to audiences outside the country.

It can be recalled that the video of the said performance went viral, with many praising the SB19 main vocalist for his stellar singing ability.
Earlier, the performance of Stell of the song "All By Myself" has been met with much praise. He performed it during the concert of David Foster at the Araneta Coliseum.
