Dolly de Leon marked another major milestone in her career after becoming part of DreamWorks Animation’s "Forgotten Island," an animated film that also highlights several Filipino talents.

The actress shared her excitement on Instagram after attending the film’s premiere at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles, California, on September 23.
“Dreams do come true,” Dolly wrote as she celebrated the opportunity to work on an animated production from a major international studio.
She highlighted the significance of the project, particularly because the story has Filipino elements and allowed her to speak Filipino as part of her role.

"Animated film with a major studio ✔️ and with DreamWorks NO LESS.✔️✔️. Major bonus na tungkol sa ‘tin yung pelikula at major major😉 bonus na nag Filipino si Lola nyo sa film! WILD," she wrote.
Dolly also gave credit to the people who helped prepare her for the star-studded premiere, thanking her stylist and designer for her outfit.
“Salamat mami ko @theljperez for being the most fun playmate and collaborator on this - one of my most favorite fits of all time created by @rjcsantos," she wrote.
She also expressed appreciation for her team and the experience of working on the project.
“Thank you for making me feel like a kid again!” she said.
Dolly ended her post by encouraging fans to watch the film in theaters.
"FORGOTTEN ISLAND is in cinemas TODAY. Tayo na mga bhie!" she said.
In the movie, Dolly lends her voice to Lola Fatima, the grandmother of Jo, who is voiced by Grammy-winning singer H.E.R.
"Forgotten Island" centers on Raissa, voiced by Liza Soberano, and her childhood best friend Jo as they become stranded on Nakali, a mysterious island that steals memories.
The film also features contributions from Filipino artists, including BINI and SB19, further expanding its Filipino representation.
Filipino-American director Januel Mercado previously discussed the collaboration, calling the gathering of Filipino artists involved in the project a particularly exciting part of its development.
“I think one of the coolest experiences since creating this movie, developing this project, the whole community of this talented Filipino artists that have been around and are upcoming, are converging together because... all these artists now, we have BINI and SB19, they are also in our movie and contributing musically," he remarked.
Dolly de Leon is a celebrated Filipino actress known for her work across film, television, and theater. She gained widespread international recognition for playing Abigail in the 2022 satirical film Triangle of Sadness, a performance that earned her nominations at both the BAFTA and Golden Globe Awards and brought greater global attention to her career.
