During a guest appearance on “The Koolpals,” Evans revisited a previous interview in which she discussed straight male content creators who portray flamboyant characters as comedy.

“Ang sinabi ko lang, sa 2026 kasi talaga, for me yung mga straight na ang content ay nagbabakla-baklaan is a lazy comedy.”

Evans clarified that she is not against qu*er-related content, especially when creators are genuine allies or advocates. However, she believes reducing queerness to a recurring joke is problematic.

“Parang ano ba, wala na bang ibang pwedeng gawing content?... Pero yung ginagawa niyo lalong caricature, ginagawa niyo laging katatawanan [ay hindi okay],” she said.

According to Evans, the issue goes beyond comedy because such portrayals reflect experiences that many LGBTQIA+ individuals still face in real life.

“For me kasi, kapag nagbakla-baklaan yung isang lalaki, nakakatawa talaga agad siya… Pero para yan ang maging bread and butter mo? Ano ba...mag-isip ka naman ng iba.”

She revealed that she is friends with creators Abdul and Marsy, as well as Nikko Natividad and Zeus Collins, but stressed that she simply does not enjoy that kind of humor.

“Hindi ko talaga kino-consume yung content nila. Hindi talaga ako fan ng mga ganoong klase ng comedy... I don’t like it.”

Evans also recalled criticizing a prank video that she believed had homophobic undertones.

“It’s not good kasi may mga tao talagang pinapatay. May mga bakla na dini-disown ng pamilya… tapos gagawin mo siyang brand of your comedy.”

Despite her criticism, Evans emphasized that she prefers dialogue over cancel culture.

“Ipapaliwanag ko kasi I think hanggang ngayon, hindi nila naiintindihan.”

She added that accountability should come from empathy and understanding.

“Mas masaya kung lahat tayo naiintindihan ang isa’t isa at nanggagaling tayo sa pagmamahal.”
