“Hoy ka din. I’ve been listening, reading, and trying to understand the situation better before adding my voice.”
The celebrity also stressed that she shares the same frustrations being expressed by many Filipinos online. According to AC, people who are calling for change should not be fighting among themselves because they are ultimately pushing for the same goals.
“We are on the same side here, we are fighting for the same thing. Hindi ako ang kaaway mo,” AC stated.
She went on to explain that she also feels anger and disappointment over the current situation, while urging people to focus their frustrations toward public officials and those in positions of authority.
“I am just as angry and disappointed as you so lets both direct that to the people in power who continue to fail Filipinos,” she added.
Toward the end of her statement, AC highlighted the importance of accountability and good governance, echoing sentiments that have been widely discussed online in recent weeks.
“WE deserve accountability, transparency, and leaders who actually put the people first.”
