Ivana Alawi used her latest Instagram Reel to combine a relief effort with a direct call for accountability over the country’s flood-control concerns.

In the video posted on August 24, the actress and content creator shared that she was occupied with preparing aid.

“Busy lang po mag repack ng relief goods.” she wrote.

Rather than focusing only on the donation activity, Ivana raised questions about the larger problem behind repeated flooding. She asked about the condition of flood-control initiatives and the large amount of public money connected to them.

“Kayo po, kamusta na kaya ang flood control? Ang bilyon bilyong pondo?” the celebrity added.

Her message made it clear that the plight of people dealing with floods remained the central issue for her. She also said that she and others would not easily forget while some Filipinos continued to suffer.

“Habang may Pilipinong lumulubog sa baha…. Sorry, hindi kami makakalimot,” she stated.

Ivana then warned against shifting public attention toward unrelated controversies. According to the actress, important matters should not be buried under new distractions, especially when communities are still facing the effects of flooding.

“Wag tayo maghanap ng ibang issue para matakpan ang mga pinaka importanteng issue,” she wrote.

The social media personality ended her post with two brief but forceful lines.

“Dapat may MANGYARI. Dapat may SOLUSYON,” she stressed.

Although Ivana openly questioned flood-control spending, she did not name any official, government agency, contractor, or specific project in the caption. She also did not disclose where the relief packs would be delivered, how many families would receive them, or which particular flooding incident prompted the operation.

This was not the first time the actress had taken part in relief work. In November 2020, she personally distributed relief goods in Cagayan after Typhoon Ulysses brought severe flooding to the province.
