Actress and social media personality Ivana Alawi recently commended Brilliant Skin Essentials Inc. for its inclusive hiring practices, particularly its employment of persons with disabilities (PWDs), during her visit to one of the company’s production facilities.

During the visit, Alawi interacted with workers and highlighted how the company integrates PWD employees into its operations.

“Isa sa mga nakakatuwa rito sa Brilliant Skin [ay] mayroon silang mga PWD. Hinahayaan talaga nilang magtrabaho. Talagang part sila ng Brilliant Skin,” she said.

She noted that 11 PWDs are currently employed by the brand, which has over 1,000 workers nationwide.

Alawi expressed her support for businesses that promote inclusivity.

“Mas gusto kong suportahan ‘yung mga business talaga na lahat [ay] welcome. Eleven ang PWD nila rito sa Brilliant Skin,” she added.

She also shared the story of Dinky, a deaf single father who has been working for the company for six years. According to Alawi, his job serves as his primary source of income to support his child.

“Ito ‘yung kanyang bread and butter. Ito ‘yung trabaho niya para ma-sustain niya ‘yung anak niya,” she said.

Dinky, communicating through sign language, conveyed his happiness with his job. Alawi responded:

“Tatagal ka ba ng six years kung hindi?”

The actress further encouraged the public to support inclusive workplaces.

“Dapat talagang binibigyan pa rin natin ng trabaho ang ating mga PWD. We need to really try to understand and love them because pare-pareho naman tayo,” she pointed out.

Meanwhile, the Municipality of Morong, Rizal recognized the company as Top Employer of the Year for 2025. The brand, founded by Glenda Dela Cruz, continues to expand while promoting equal opportunities across its workforce.
