Veteran actress and singer Sharon Cuneta has taken to social media to appeal to former Vice President and current Leni Robredo, urging her to reconsider running for president in the 2028 national elections.

In a heartfelt message, Cuneta expressed her unwavering support for Robredo, emphasizing her belief that the former vice president remains one of the most capable leaders who can unite the country amid political divisions.
She began her message with a direct and emotional plea:
“Dearest Ma’am Leni, PLEASE RECONSIDER… You are the one who can unite these different parties. You have proven na ipaglalaban niyo ang PILIPINAS…”

Cuneta went on to reflect on Robredo’s 2022 presidential bid, expressing hope that she would once again step forward to lead, this time with an even broader base of support:
“Sana lang napagbigyan kayo noong 2022… Please choose a great VP, ideally from where you will garner more support than ever before, and Kiko and I will go all-out for you po.”
The Megastar also stressed that more Filipinos are now looking up to Robredo for leadership, urging her to reconsider her decision not to run:
“Ma’am, mas madami na pong di hamak na umaasa sa inyo ngayon… Please, Ma’am Leni. We are all storming the heavens with our prayers for you to change your mind and run once more-just one more time po Ma’am, for President.”
She further noted that support for Robredo continues to grow, including both longtime supporters and new followers who have since embraced her leadership:
“Naghihintay lang po kaming lahat Ma’am, mga kakampink noon at mga naging kakampink na ngayon. Mahal na mahal po namin kayo at patuloy na naniniwala sa katapatan at abilidad ninyo na patakbuhin at alagaan ang ating bansa.”
Cuneta concluded her message with a hopeful tone, signaling readiness among supporters should Robredo decide to run:

In a postscript, she also mentioned that her son Miguel would personally visit Robredo in Naga to express the same appeal:
