In a statement posted on X on May 3, AC said she decided to speak up after seeing negative comments and false stories circulating online. Some critics also questioned her sincerity as a BTS fan.
“There are so many stories being made up here, and I've never been one to stay quiet when I know it isn't true,” she wrote.
The actress-dancer clarified that she attended the event because she was hired to work there and not because of special treatment.

“First off, I was hired for the event to work. I did not use any ‘connections’ to get a pass. I didn't even know who the event was for until the night before,” AC stated.
She also explained why she accepted the project.
“This is part of what I do, and as a breadwinner, I have responsibilities to take care of,” she said.
AC further addressed comments connected to BTS members J-Hope and Jungkook following her on TikTok. According to her, some netizens unfairly used this to question her identity as an ARMY.
“I also hope we can move past the ‘finollow lang kasi ni J-Hope at Jungkook’ and ‘ngayon lang naging fan’ narrative, because those simply aren't true,” she wrote.
The actress explained that tagging the BTS members on TikTok was only possible because they already followed her account.
“I may not have been there from the very beginning, but I made the effort to go back, learn their story, and understand everything that made BTS who they are today,” AC added.
She ended her statement by encouraging fans to celebrate BTS together instead of attacking one another online.
“Let's not put each other down when we should be celebrating BTS and their comeback together,” she said.
AC Bonifacio is a versatile Filipino-Canadian dancer, singer, and actress who rose to international fame as a "dancing phenomenal" and one-half of the duo Lucky Aces. Beyond her viral dance covers and high-energy performances, she has established herself as a formidable talent in the Philippine entertainment industry through acting roles and chart-topping musical releases.
In another report, Niana Guerrero faced mixed reactions online after posting the statement, “some of us need to touch grass every once in a while,” on social media. A netizen responded by saying the remark came across as “out of touch” and appeared to dismiss the concerns being raised by fans. The issue gained more attention after allegations surfaced regarding supposed unfair prioritization during a Spotify-related fan event. Other social media users later joined the discussion, with some criticizing influencer privilege while others defended fans who were voicing concerns about fairness and accessibility.
Meanwhile, AC Bonifacio confirmed that she is now single following her breakup with Harvey Bautista. During a podcast conversation with Edward Barber, the actress and performer opened up about heartbreak, healing, and personal growth. Edward also recalled his “kuya moment” after AC approached him for advice regarding her relationship. Amid the breakup, AC recently revealed that K-pop star Jungkook had followed her on TikTok, which quickly caught the attention of fans online.
