During her appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Thursday, the Kapuso actress talked about how her long career as a child star continues to influence the way some people perceive her.
Jillian said she sometimes encounters surprised reactions online whenever she shares photos or appears in outfits that reflect her current age.
“Kunwari ito, naka-skirt po ako, parang akala po nila, like, 'Minor pa siya, bakit ganyan 'yung mga suot niya?' may ganu'n pa rin po.”

She then reminded her followers that she is no longer a minor.
“Pero 21 na po ako, guys.”
Despite being amused by the reactions, Jillian explained that she understands why some fans continue to view her as someone younger than her actual age.
“Pero sa mga mata po nila, isip po nila, baby pa rin po ako,” she said.
Rather than taking the comments negatively, the actress said she sees them as a sign that her supporters genuinely care about her.
“Kumbaga, protective po kasi sila sa akin,” Jillian added.
The actress’ transition into adulthood has also included major changes in her personal life, particularly after she began living independently.
In January 2025, Jillian previously revealed on the same GMA Afternoon Prime talk show that she had been living alone in her condominium for two months.
Although she had only recently begun experiencing life on her own at the time, she noticed that the change was already affecting how she viewed herself and her future.
“Alam n'yo po, parang two months pa lang po ako nakatira doon sa unit ko and somehow, mas nagbago po 'yung outlook ko sa buhay.”
Jillian admitted that she found the change difficult to fully explain.
“Hindi ko po alam e,” she said.
She also became cautious about describing herself as fully mature, even as she recognized noticeable changes in her mindset.
“Ayoko sabihin na nag-mature po ako pero 'yun 'yung napi-feel ko.”

“Feeling ko po nag-iba 'yung priorities ko rin, and parang mas naging stronger po 'yung values ko sa sarili ko.”
