During her appearance on the November 4 episode of Chika Cart, the dancer and comedian answered several questions from hosts Baninay Bautista, Donita Nose, and Jeff Fernando. She also clarified rumors that had followed her for years, particularly claims that she did not want to be identified as a SexBomb member and that her decision to stay on the show had created a rift between her and her fellow performers.
One of the questions raised concerned her alleged reluctance to be called a SexBomb.
Sugar explained that she had no intention of distancing herself from the group that helped launch her career. Instead, she requested to use the shortened name SBG because of her personal religious convictions.

She also expressed her appreciation for being given another opportunity to perform alongside her former groupmates.
Sugar further addressed the speculation that her decision to remain on the noontime program had caused tension within the group when the other SexBomb Girls left.
According to her, she was never responsible for their departure. She explained that her circumstances at the time allowed her to sign a new contract, giving her an opportunity to earn a considerably higher salary and provide financial assistance to her parents.
She recalled that her previous contract with Ate Joy had already ended, allowing her to consider another opportunity in the program. With her family depending on her support, she decided to accept the offer.
Doon po ako pumirma ng bagong kontrata to help my parents po, my family. Yun po talaga 'yung dahilan no'n,” she added.
Despite the rumors, Sugar maintained that her relationship with the SexBomb Girls remained intact. She described her fellow performers as genuine friends and pointed out that some of them even became godmothers to her child.
She then made a lighthearted remark about how long it took before she finally got the opportunity to explain her side of the story.
“Kaso, dalawang dekada [ang nakalipas] bago ko na-explain,” she jokingly said.
Toward the end of the conversation, Sugar expressed her belief that the truth would eventually come out despite the controversies and misunderstandings surrounding the group.
Maghi-heal din 'yan in time,” Sugar said.
