Charlie made the remarks during her guest appearance on ABS-CBN Hot Takes, where she talked about seeing negative comments about Kaila even before they met.
The actress admitted that she used to come across posts criticizing the celebrity. However, her perspective changed after meeting Kaila in person.
“Parang mga two years ago pa siguro… nakikita ko binabash siya dati,” she said.

Charlie explained that working closely with Kaila gave her a better understanding of who she really is. According to her, the actress showed a completely different personality from what was being said online.
“Kasi kasama ko siya sa What Lies Beneath. So, pag na-meet niya or nakilala niya siya in person, sobrang ayos na tao, as in,” she shared.
The actress emphasized that her co-star was genuinely kind and easy to work with. This firsthand experience made her question the negative remarks circulating on social media.
She pointed out that there was a big gap between the online criticisms and the real person she got to know on set.
“So, sobrang, yung mga nababasa ko about her, sobrang layo, as in unfair na unfair,” Charlie added.
Her statement made it clear that she disagrees with the way Kaila is being judged online. Instead, she encouraged people to look beyond rumors and give others a fair chance.
