The student immediately sought help from barangay officials. One of the men was later identified as a 21-year-old resident of Barangay Pinagbuhatan.

A sachet containing suspected shabu and money were reportedly confiscated from him during the operation.

Police also alleged that the suspect and his companions commonly targeted students whom they believed would be unable to fight back.

Meanwhile, the victim shared how the incident continued to affect her daily life. The stolen cellphone was important for her studies, especially because classes had repeatedly shifted online due to bad weather.

“Traumatic siya sa akin. Hirap na ako lumabas. Hirap akong matulog. Palagi akong nag-iisip,” she said.
“Naapektuhan talaga ako nito, lalo na sa academics ko,” the student added.

She is determined to file a robbery complaint against the arrested man and his alleged accomplice. Authorities are still searching for the second suspect.

The 21-year-old man is currently detained at the Pasig City Police Custodial Facility. He is also facing a complaint for allegedly violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drúgs Act of 2002.
