Police Lieutenant Colonel Wilbert Parilla, head of the Highway Patrol Group 7, has expressed strong disapproval of the vlogger's actions, citing the creation of “public disturbance” and the inherent danger of the stunt.

The officer emphasized the risks involved in the vlogger's behavior, highlighting the potential for accidents.

In response to the criticism, the vlogger attempted to clarify his actions through his social media page.

He stated that he utilized sound effects for the vehicle horns featured in the video and that he timed his stunt to coincide with traffic light changes.

“Naghanap din ako ng timing na traffic kung saan patungong ‘go’ ang stoplight. Pasensya, effects lang,” the vlogger explained in Cebuano.

Despite these explanations, law enforcement officials have indicated that the vlogger could face criminal charges.

The actions taken by the vlogger have raised concerns about public safety and the responsible use of social media platforms.

The police continue to investigate the incident, and further actions may be taken. There is also a increasing discussion about the responsibilities of social media influencers.

In other news, OTS personnel involved in an alleged “tanim-bala” incident recently at the NAIA 3 have been fired. This was disclosed by Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon in a statement issued to the media. It can be recalled that recently, a video shared by a 69-year-old passenger who was allegedly accosted by the said OTS personnel for having a supposed contraband in her bag, went viral. In the video, one can see the elderly passenger showing the OTS personnel the contents of her bag showing there was no such contraband inside.

It can be recalled that a 69-year-old woman, Ruth Adel, accused airport security of falsely claiming that a bullet casing was found in her luggage just before she and her family were about to board their flight to Vietnam. Despite security personnel stating that an x-ray scan detected a bullet-shaped amulet in their bag, a physical inspection revealed no such item. Based on the video share by Ruth on her FB account, and reported by GMA News, the family challenged why they were only stopped at the boarding gate instead of being flagged during the initial x-ray screening if the alleged bullet casing truly existed. While the Office of Transportation Security promised to address the issue in a press briefing, both the Manila International Airport Authority and the Department of Transportation had not provided any official statements at the time of reporting.
