“Forgotten Island” lead voice actors Liza Soberano and H.E.R. have released the music video for “BRB,” the lead soundtrack of their upcoming animated film.

Directed by DreamWorks Animation filmmakers Joel Crawford and Filipino-American Januel Mercado, “Forgotten Island” centers on Filipino culture, folklore, and mythology. Liza and H.E.R. lend their voices to the film’s main characters, Raissa and Jo, respectively.

The music video for “BRB” offers a vibrant look at everyday life in the Philippines, with Liza and H.E.R. traveling around Metro Manila aboard jeepneys and tricycles. The visuals highlight familiar Filipino scenes and traditions, including sari-sari stores, public markets, street basketball, walis tambo, pamaypay, mahjong, and local aspins and puspins.

The video also puts the spotlight on Filipino food and street delicacies. Viewers get glimpses of lechon, sinigang, taho, buko juice, and tusok-tusok, while Liza and H.E.R. are seen enjoying pork barbecue, sorbetes, and freshly baked treats from a local bakery.

Adding to the fun-filled scenes, the two artists visit a karaoke bar and play basketball on a makeshift neighborhood court. Their adventures give the music video a distinctly Filipino atmosphere while showcasing familiar aspects of local life.

“BRB” also features appearances from the film’s directors, Joel and Januel, alongside their respective families. Furthermore, the song incorporates Filipino expressions such as “babalik ako” and “tayo na.”

“Forgotten Island” is set to arrive in Philippine theaters on September 23.
