Derek Ramsay could not help but express his honest opinion about the viral video of a security guard shooing away a girl selling sampaguita garlands.

The guard assigned at SM Megamall was also caught in the video destroying the child vendor’s bundles of sampaguita. This prompted the young girl, dressed in a school uniform, to hit back with the ruined garlands while the guard retaliated by kicking the girl.
John Arcilla took to Instagram to repost the video. In the caption, the veteran actor also aired support for the child vendor and called out the guard.

In the comments of John’s post, Derek aired dismay that nobody attempted to pacify the situation.
“It’s sad that nobody interfered and made an effort to help pacify the situation. Mas priority pa ang mag video kesa tumulong,” Derek penned.
He frankly stressed, “Mahirap mag comment sa ganitong mga video. Hindi natin alam ang buong storya.”
Derek further expressed his belief that the guard, the girl, and the one who filmed the video were all at fault.
“May mali talaga sa guard and I'm sure may mali din sa bata but mali din ang gumawa ng video kesa tumulong. Nilagyan pa ng music na malungkot.”
