Ai-Ai delas Alas has spoken about the marriage of her ex-husband, Gerald Sibayan, to his non-showbiz girlfriend, addressing the development and assuring supporters that she is doing well.

During “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Thursday, September 10, host Boy Abunda shared a statement that Ai-Ai had sent to the show’s team regarding Gerald’s marriage. In her message, the comedienne said that she had already expected the development following their separation.
“Alam naman natin na mangyayari 'yan. Expected ko na 'yan nu'ng hiniwalayan niya ako.”
Ai-Ai also explained that Gerald needed to stay in the United States, which she said was another reason she anticipated that he would eventually get married.

“Kailangan niya na mag-stay sa Amerika kaya kailangan niya na magpakasal.”
She then expressed her hope that Gerald would not repeat with his new wife what she claimed he had done to her.
“Sana lang, huwag niyang gawin sa iba ang ginawa niya sa akin.”
Despite the development, Ai-Ai appeared to indicate that she would rather leave Gerald to his new life. She also made a light remark about his wedding attire.
“Hayaan na natin siya. At least, naka-suit siya, hindi naka-polo lang.”
Ai-Ai further shared what she knew about Gerald’s new wife, including the language he had reportedly started using when communicating with her before their separation.
“Basta ang alam ko, English speaking ang babae na pinakasalan niya kasi isang buwan bago ako iniwan ni Gerald, Ingles na rin ang pakikipag-usap niya sa akin.”
Meanwhile, Ai-Ai took the opportunity to thank those who had reached out to her with messages of support following the news.
“Maraming salamat po sa mga nagpapadala sa akin ng mga mensahe na suporta.”
She also expressed her gratitude for the continued love and support she has received from her followers through the years.

Ai-Ai then assured her supporters that they had no reason to worry about her, saying that she was doing well with her faith as a source of strength.
“Wala po kayong dapat ipag-alala. Okay na okay po ako, sa tulong ni Lord at ni Mama Mary.”
She also asked her supporters not to let Gerald’s marriage affect them, emphasizing that she herself was not affected by the development.
“Huwag na po kayong magpaapekto sa pagpapakasal niya dahil hindi naman po ako apektado.”
