An OFW in Kuwait, Dafnie Nacalaban, was found dead after being missing for two months.

According to the report of GMA News, she was eagerly looking forward to coming home to her family last December 2024.

However, she did not make it, but instead, her body was already found in a decomposing state in the backyard of her employer.

“Tinatanong namin siya kailan talaga uwi niya. Sabi niya, ‘Basta i-surprise ko kayo sa December.’ Ito pala yung surprise niya," said her sibling, Michael Nacalaban Lensahan.

She also said that in May, in their last convo, her sister did not mention any problem.

“Opo, balak po talaga na itago po [ang insidente]. Ang hiling lang po namin sana makauwi yung kapatid namin tapos mabigyan po ng hustisya kung ano ang talagang nangyari sa kaniya. Bakit po ganun ang ginawa sa kaniya?” she said.

The Department of Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Eduardo de Vega revealed that it was the suspect's sibling who shared the incident with the police.

"Yung kapatid mismo ng suspect sinabihan yung pulis. Ininvestigate nung pulis. Nakita ng pulis sa bahay yung bangkay, advanced state of decomposition, mag da-dalawang buwan na," he said.

According to reports, the man had multiple stab wounds when he was found dead on the spot. Police authorities said the suspect was the man's cousin whom he had an arguement with. It was later discovered that the two were drinking, and the victim allegedly teased the suspect and even asked for a fight.

In another viral local report, a 6-year-old kid from Naga City, Cebu, died after being hit by an SUV. According to reports, the victim and its parents were on their way to San Fernando, Cebu, to ask for Christmas presents. However, they were struck by an SUV, killing the kid and injuring the parents. The SUV driver admitted he fell asleep because of exhaustion, he will be facing multiple complaints because of the incident.
