While celebrating the milestone, Yasmien looked back on how long she had admired the Broadway star.

“That’s why I became so teary-eyed when I finally got to sing with you,” she recalled.

For the actress, the performance felt especially meaningful because Lea’s voice had been part of her childhood. She said she grew up listening to Disney songs connected with Princess Jasmine from Aladdin and Mulan, both characters whose singing voices were performed by Lea.

“It was such a surreal experience for a fan girl who grew up listening to your voice,” she shared.

Yasmien also praised Lea for inspiring generations of young girls to dream big. She noted how the singer’s talent, hard work, and professionalism have continued to make Filipinos proud on the international stage.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame honor marked another major milestone in Lea’s career. The ceremony took place in front of the Pantages Theatre, with fellow artists and supporters joining the celebration.

For Yasmien, however, the achievement also brought back a personal memory of how far her own fangirl journey had come, from chasing a car for an autograph to eventually performing with the person she had admired for years.
