Addressing the heated online exchange, Nicolas released a statement emphasizing that the disagreement goes beyond mere shouting matches or social media noise.

Raising concerns about public conduct, Nicolas stated on Facebook, "Hindi ito usapin kung sino ang malakas magmura o kung sino ang pinakamaingay sa social media."
He further questioned whether such public displays set a constructive example for younger audiences, asking, "Ang tanong: ganito na ba ang gusto natin halimbawa sa kabataan—na kapag hindi mo kayang sagutin ang argumento, lakasan mo na lang ang boses at dagdagan ang mura?"

In addition to addressing the language used, Nicolas publicly questioned entertainment networks and production outfits for providing platforms to influential personalities.

This remark triggered an even sharper response from Darryl, who fiercely defended his right to free expression.
