Kapamilya actress Charlie Dizon recently opened up about how her connection with Carlo Aquino grew from distant co-stars to husband and wife.

During her guest appearance on Ganiel Krishnan's talk show Oh My Gan!, the award-winning actress looked back at the very beginning of their journey together, starting from when they first shared the screen on the action drama series A Soldier's Heart.

"Una ko siyang na-meet talaga sa A Soldier's Heart, nung time na yun eh kuya siya ng lahat. Nung time na yun, as in kuya talaga," Charlie shared. "Eh ako rin bagong-bago pa ako nun so wala akong kinakausap masyado. Nung time din na yun, hindi rin siya nakiki-bonding sa lahat, mas... introvert ba siya? Basta aloof siya na tao talaga, tahimik siya, sobrang mysterious, ganun yung dating," she began.

After the series ended, the two went years without speaking or working together. However, hat changed in 2022 when they crossed paths again.

"2022 kami nag-meet ulit sa US tour, so after Soldier's Heart, walang communication. Hindi na kami nagka-work ulit," she recalled. "Hanggang sa nung nag-u-US tour, nalaman namin na magkaka-work kami sa movie, yun yung Third World Romance. Pero nung time na yun, parang maglu-look test pa lang, wala pang kahit ano. Tapos yun, dun kami sa US tour mas nagkakilala talaga. Dun ko siya nakilala na ibang iba dun sa nakilala ko sa Soldier's Heart," she shared.

When asked about what Carlo is truly like behind his celebrity persona as an actor, singer, and performer, Charlie warmly highlighted his natural dedication inside their home and dubbed him as a "house man."

"Sa bahay, mahilig siya sa gawaing bahay, in fairness. House man siya talaga, maasikaso, maalaga," Charlie revealed with a smile. "Feeling ko nga mas maasikaso siya kaysa sakin, mas innate sa kanya. Ako kasi, feeling ko gagawin ko yun dahil love ko yung tao, pero siya, mas innate talaga na ganun siya as a person. So kahit sakin, sa family niya, sa anak niya."

Charlie Dizon is a Filipina actress best known for her range and versatility.
