The much-anticipated program transition was formally revealed in a recent report by GMA News Online, detailing how the iconic talk show is expanding its reach to a broader audience.
According to the “Chika Minute” segment of “24 Oras,” the partnership opens up fresh opportunities for cross-network appearances, allowing popular personalities from different stations to share the same stage.
Sharing the backstory of the project's greenlight, Vice admitted that bringing the show to the network was a long-held aspiration.

"Super, super excited (ako). Dinasal ko ito, winish ko. Hiniling ko ito. When I had the chance to talk to Ma'am Annette and the ABS management, tinanong nila anong gusto mong show ba? Nung meeting ko sa GMA ang sinabi ko GGV ang gusto ko," Vice recounted during an interview segment.
The prospect of welcoming prominent actors and entertainers who were previously inaccessible due to network barriers has energized the veteran host.
Vice noted that numerous personalities have already expressed interest in experiencing the show firsthand.
"Ang pinaka-nakaka-excite yung mga Kapuso star na gusto kong maiinterviewin at makasama sa show ko posibleng-posible na. Tapos marami rin akong GMA stars na nakausap na gusto rin nilang magkaroon ng GGV experience. So ito na, hindi na siya imposibleng mangyari," Vice added, mentioning specific entertainment icons like Michael V., Marian Rivera, and Alden Richards as dream guests.
Reflecting on the grueling production schedules that accompany a high-rating weekly program, Vice expressed a readiness to dive back into the demanding routine.
Rather than viewing the pressure as a burden, the host embraced the positive momentum.
"Tumaas ulit yung energy ko, gusto kong mapagod ulit dito sa GGV. Ito yung pagod na gusto ko. Ang ganda ng nararamdaman ko ngayon," Vice remarked.
With production preparations underway, fans can anticipate a revitalized format, fresh comedic segments, and unprecedented guest pairings when the program officially premieres next month.
Widely recognized as the "Unkabogable Star," Jose Marie Borja Viceral—better known as Vice Ganda—is a powerhouse Filipino comedian, actor, and host. A prominent fixture on It's Showtime, this multi-awarded pop culture icon has dominated box office charts while championing inclusivity.
Recently, the popular television host strongly appealed to the public to exercise caution and wisdom during elections. The sharp commentary was shared against the backdrop of heavy rainfall and widespread flooding affecting various communities. Connecting civic duty directly to governance, the comedian pointed out how ballot choices shape the kind of leadership citizens ultimately receive. The speaker firmly asserted that ordinary citizens should not have to continually suffer the devastating consequences of natural calamities worsened by poor governance.
Vice also reflected on a contestant's financial struggles on the show, with the discussions naturally shifting toward the real-world value of academic achievements. The participant shared personal aspirations of finishing school to escape judgment, drawing inspiration from close peers who hold degrees. Weighing in on the topic, the veteran performer noted that a diploma or high marks alone do not fully define true competence or knowledge. These observations intersected with broader national conversations regarding local educational outcomes, functional literacy data, and recent international assessment results.
