Lovi Poe opened up about the major changes motherhood has brought into her life, revealing that becoming a mother taught her to let go of perfectionism and embrace a less structured way of living.

During her interview with Karen Davila for her latest YouTube vlog, the actress reflected on how different her life has become since welcoming her daughter. Lovi admitted that she no longer feels the need to make everything happen according to a strict plan.
"A lot [has changed.] I think I don't chase perfection anymore. I let things go," she said.
Before becoming a mother, Lovi described herself as someone who was highly particular about her routine. She said even small parts of her day, including when she drank coffee, exercised, and left for work, were carefully scheduled.

"I am more flexible now. Kasi I am such a routine person, everything is on the dot from the sip of my coffee, time of working out, time of leaving to set... That's how I operate," she explained.
However, motherhood completely disrupted the routine she had grown accustomed to. Rather than seeing the changes negatively, Lovi said she learned to appreciate the unpredictability.
"And now 'yung lahat ng routine ko na 'yun, gone. Parang everything is like completely messy but I love it," she shared.
The actress also admitted that she no longer plans everything as strictly as she used to and instead chooses to deal with situations as they happen.
"I don't plan things anymore. I just take things as it comes, as it goes," she said.
Lovi also recalled how hands-on she was with her daughter after giving birth in the United States. She described the newborn stage as a demanding cycle that required her to wake up every few hours to attend to her baby.
"I woke up every three hours. Basically I'm up kasi di ba the schedule of having a newborn you wake up, and feed, burp, and then change diaper and then back again. It's that rotation and everything. Major hands-on," she stated.
For Lovi, experiencing those difficult moments firsthand was a deliberate choice. She wanted to be present for as much of her daughter's early life as possible, even when the experience left her exhausted.
"It was my choice talaga. I wanted to experience every single one of it 'cause I see a lot of things. You want to go through it no matter how tired you are it's because they are gonna grow up so fast," she stated.
The actress said she made an effort to appreciate both the difficult and rewarding moments of motherhood while continuing to work at the same time.
"I really savored the tough moments, and the best moments, and working at the same time. It still is the most exhausting but the most rewarding thing ever," she added.
Although Lovi received assistance from her mother and a friend, she emphasized that she remained deeply involved in taking care of her daughter.
"I was doing everything on my own. My mom was there to help me and I had a friend who come over as well, but I am super hands-on," she shared.
Her involvement has continued even as she balances motherhood with her career. While she acknowledged that other people help care for her daughter when she is working on set, Lovi said she takes over once she returns home.
"Even until now, but of course when I'm on set I have people helping me," she said.
"But when I get home, pag-uwi ko talaga I make sure ako nagpapatulog 'pag hindi pa tulog. Ako 'yung nagfe-feed," she added.
Through motherhood, Lovi has seemingly traded the rigid routine she once relied on for a more flexible and spontaneous approach to life. Despite the exhaustion that comes with caring for a young child, she continues to embrace the experience and remain present in her daughter's growing years.
