Nadine Lustre had nothing but kind words for Alden Richards as she opened up about working with him for the first time as co-stars in the upcoming series Love, Siargao.

Speaking during a media conference on Wednesday, the actress described the experience as enjoyable, crediting Alden not only for his professionalism but also for the positive energy he brings to the production.
“Sobrang sarap niya ka-work,” she said.
Although Love, Siargao is their first acting project together, Nadine revealed that her professional connection with Alden actually dates back several years. Before sharing the screen, the two had crossed paths during endorsement shoots.

"Si Alden kasi, hindi ko siya first time makatrabaho," she said.
"Before kasi normally, endorsement shoots lang."
She also looked back on the first time they worked together, recalling that she was still part of the girl group POP Girls and was only in her mid-teens.
"The very first time I worked with him was, I think, nasa POP Girls pa ako, 16 or 17 years old ako that time. Thirty-two na ako ngayon," she said.
As filming for Love, Siargao progressed, Nadine said she got to know Alden better and became even more impressed with how he interacts with everyone on the set. According to her, one of his best qualities is his ability to make people feel comfortable regardless of their role in the production.
"Hindi siya mahirap pakisamahan. One of the things that I really loved about him is that lahat kinakausap niya. ‘Yung buong team kinakausap niya. He knows how to get along with everyone, nakikipagbiruan siya. Everything about him is just so light," she said.
Beyond his friendly personality, Nadine also praised Alden's dedication to their craft. She shared that they regularly spend time discussing their characters and carefully analyzing each scene before filming, allowing them to deliver more authentic performances.
"Masarap niya ka-work kasi very collaborative siya. Pag may mga scenes kami, pinag-uusapan talaga namin, 'Why do you think ganito yung reaction ni Jao?' Ano bang puwedeng gawin? Parang hinihimay talaga namin yung mga eksena namin," she said.
