Sofia Pablo has finally addressed the real reason behind Allen Ansay's decision to stop courting her, putting an end to the speculation surrounding their relationship.

Speaking to Aubrey Carampel in a report aired on 24 Oras on Monday, July 6, the Sparkle actress explained that she and Allen both agreed to focus on their respective careers instead of pursuing a romantic relationship at this point in their lives.

She admitted that balancing work and love was not easy for both of them.

"Mahirap po talaga i-balance 'yung career and love life. And syempre pareho po kami na bata pa, and marami kaming dreams for our family."

The actress added that timing also played a big role in their decision.

"Maybe it's not the right time to continue talaga na i-pursue namin 'yung isa't isa."

Her statement came after Allen revealed in the comments section of one of his TikTok posts that he had already stopped courting Sofia in March. The actor also emphasized that they continue to respect and support each other despite the change in their relationship.

The celebrity also shared that they intentionally chose not to publicly discuss the status of Allen's courtship because they considered it a personal matter. However, she acknowledged that fans naturally became curious after noticing they were no longer being seen together as often.

"But we understand the fans na syempre magtataka sila kung bakit hindi na kami nagkakasama."

Sofia also took the opportunity to address rumors linking her to fellow former PBB housemate and Kapamilya actor Iñigo Jose. She firmly denied that another person was involved in Allen's decision to stop courting her.

According to the actress, she and Iñigo simply became close through fan gatherings and during their time inside the PBB house. She stressed that the decision between her and Allen had nothing to do with anyone else.

"Kasi syempre may fan gatherings kami, and even inside the house, naging close naman po talaga kami. I don't think dapat talagang isipin ng tao na there's someone involved kung bakit tumigil si Allen kasi clear po talaga sa amin ni Allen na tumigil kami kasi we want to focus on our respective careers."

Although their courtship did not continue, the actress said their friendship remains intact. When asked if she is still open to working with Allen, she answered positively.

"Opo naman. Syempre kailangan din namin mag-grow outside of our love team."

The interview made it clear that both young stars chose to prioritize their careers while maintaining mutual respect and support for one another.
