Allen explained that the courtship was no longer pursued beginning in March. According to him, both of them simply saw their priorities shift, especially because of work.

"Para na rin po sa tamang impormasyon, matagal na pong hindi naipagpatuloy ang panliligaw ko kay Sofia noong March pa po. Maayos po naming nirerespeto ang isa't isa, at nagbago lamang ang direksyon ng aming mga priorities lalo na po sa trabaho."

The actor also revealed that they intentionally chose not to discuss the matter publicly because they considered it a personal part of their lives. He said there was no need to make an announcement at the time since they both wanted to handle the situation with respect.

"Pinili lang po namin na hindi magsalita tungkol dito dahil personal naman po ito."
