Ogie Diaz, in a recent post on his Instagram Stories, admitted crying upon reading a letter written by mother to her child’s teacher.

The said letter has been making rounds on social media and has already gone viral.
In the letter, the mother was trying to explain to the teacher why her child wasn’t able to attend school.
She said that her child doesn’t have anything to wear anymore and that his lone uniform has been damaged.

“Dear: Maam, Sorry po kung hindi ko po pinapasok ang anak ko na sa kadahilanan na wala na po silang masuot na damit at isa lang po ang uniform niya at nawarak po po ang pantalon,” the mother wrote.
The said mother also explained that she wasn’t able to wash their dirty clothes because the drum where she used to draw water from is always empty.
“Hindi ko po masikaso ang mga damit namin maglaba dahil lagi po kami nauubusan ng tubig sa drum tuwing umuuwi ako sa bahay minsan nga po sa crossing na kami naliligo mag ina kung may pera nagbabayad kami duon,” she narrated.
She also said that her family wasn’t able to come home to their rented house anymore and had to sleep on the roadside because she hasn’t paid the rent yet.
The mother also explained that what she earns in a day is only enough for their food and that she’s still waiting for the payout for the homeless family under the program of the DSWD.
“Sa ngayon po hindi na kami natutulog sa inuupahan namin dahil hindi pa ako nakabayad sa upa ng bahay dahil ang kinikita ko ay sapat lang sa pagkain naming mag iina at simula march 2022 hindi pa po kami na pay out sa homeless family or m.c.c.t. ng dswd kaya ngayon po balik kalsada kami natutulog. Maraming salamat sa pang-unawa,” the mother wrote in the viral letter.
Ogie, in his post, indicated that he cried upon reading the viral letter. He also added the caption “nakakaiyak” in the said post.
