Ruffa Gutierrez marked the 22nd birthday of her youngest daughter, Venice, with a heartfelt Instagram message celebrating the young woman she has become while revealing that the birthday girl is currently recovering in the hospital after a sudden surgery.

Venice turned 22 on September 11, and instead of celebrating the milestone in the way she might have expected, she is spending the occasion in the hospital. Ruffa shared that her daughter underwent an unexpected surgery but remained remarkably positive about the situation.
“Today you’re celebrating your birthday in the hospital because of a sudden surgery but instead of being depressed you said it’s fine and realize that health is wealth,” Ruffa wrote.
The actress and beauty queen praised Venice for showing strength despite the circumstances, describing her as a “true blue warrior” and proudly comparing that resilience to her own.

Ruffa began her birthday tribute by expressing how proud she is of Venice and the person she has grown into. She described her youngest daughter as beautiful, strong and independent, qualities that she said fill her heart with both pride and gratitude.
“Watching you grow into the beautiful, strong, and independent young woman you are today fills my heart with pride and gratitude,” Ruffa wrote.
Venice is currently based in the United States, where she is building a life of her own while pursuing her dreams. Ruffa acknowledged the distance between them but emphasized that she continues to follow her daughter’s journey and remains supportive of her ambitions.
“You’re out there in the States creating your own life, chasing your dreams, and becoming the woman you were always meant to be,” she said.

“To the one who once promised she would take care of me until I’m 80 years old & buy me a house when she becomes a millionaire, happy birthday my baby girl!!” Ruffa wrote.
Beyond the affectionate teasing, Ruffa used the occasion to give Venice advice as she continues entering adulthood. She encouraged her daughter to dream ambitiously, take opportunities, work hard in school and continue nurturing her love of singing.
“Dream big, take chances, study hard, keep singing,” she wrote.
Ruffa also assured Venice that she would never have to face life’s challenges without the support of her family. She specifically mentioned Venice’s older sister Lorin, saying that the family would remain ready to cheer her on, hold her hand and help her work toward her goals.
“Always know that wherever life leads you, Lorin your whole family and I will be right here cheering you on, holding your hand, and doing everything we can to help you turn your goals into reality,” Ruffa said.

She is the eldest and only daughter of Eddie Gutierrez and Annabelle Rama.
