Caloy Alde, more popularly known as the comedian Ogag, passed away at the age of 60.
This was confirmed by some of Ogag’s co-workers in showbiz, including Che Cunanan and Alwyn Uytingco.

Although she has not directly commented on the news, Ogag’s wife Rhoda Porral-Alde posted a black profile pic on Facebook and shared an article about her husband’s death.

Caloy Alde, or Ogag, was a Filipino comedian and entertainer. He used to be a fish and egg vendor before breaking through in showbiz. When his career slowed down, he decided to sell barbeque and put up a sari-sari store to earn a living.
Some of his movies include Ogag the Movie, Mr. Suave (2003), S2pid Luv (2002), Ang Babaeng Putik (2001), Baliktaran: Si Ace at si Daisy (2001), Sgt. Larry Layar (1998), Pares-pares (Trip ng Puso) (1998), and No Read, No Write (1997).
In a past report by KAMI, Caloy “Ogag” Alde was rushed to a hospital back in 2020 due to a health emergency. His fellow comedian, Gene Padilla, posted on Facebook about the unfortunate news. Padilla revealed that Alde was confined at the Commonwealth Hospital and Medical Center in Quezon City and was in dire need of financial aid. Alde’s wife, Rhoda Porral-Alde, was in charge of caring for the comedian at the hospital.

In a recent report, Phillip Lazaro, an actor and second unit director of GMA7’s Prima Donnas Season 2, has died. News of his demise was reported by GMA7 Entertainment and by other media outlets. Messages of condolences and sympathies immediately poured in for Direk Phillip, who was also known for his directing role in "Widow's Web" and "Nagbabagang Luha". His colleagues and friends called him “one of the finest and kindest directors” in the industry.
