Ice Seguerra has opened up, through a post on his Instagram account, about his worst mistake as an artist.

The singer-composer has been in the showbiz industry since he was still a little child.
According to Ice, he is aware of the entire concept of uncertainties in life even when he was young.
“As artists, we are all familiar with the whole concept of uncertainty. Nabubuhay tayo nang walang kasiguraduhan, just to pursue our passion,” Ice wrote in his most recent IG post.
“When I was younger, mas matapang ako to follow my dreams,” he added.
Ice admitted, though, that he wasn’t that brave.
“Pero di pa rin ganon katapang kasi alam kong may responsibilidad akong kailangan gampanan,” he further wrote.
He said that as he grew older, he became comfortable and tried to protect himself from various things, including failure and pain.
“But as I got older, I became comfortable. I've shielded myself from failure and pain, and in doing so, I built a huge wall,” the singer-composer said.
In retrospect, Ice said he’s come to realize that protecting himself from failure and pain is the worst mistake he has done as an artist.
This is because he believed he resisted his soul’s growth in lieu of being “safe.”
“Looking back, I've come to realize that it's the worst mistake to make when you're an artist,” Ice wrote.
“I have resisted my soul's growth in exchange of being “safe.” I stopped dreaming big coz I was afraid to fail,” the singer-composer continued.
He promised himself, however, that it won’t happen again and that he would not let fear stop him from being who he really is.
“I cannot do that anymore. I can't let fear stop me from being who I really am,” Ice wrote.
Ice Seguerra, or Cariza Yamson Seguerra in real life, is a Filipino actor, singer-songwriter and guitarist. He is also a proud member of the LGBTQA+ community and the spouse of Liza Diño. Ice and Liza got married legally in California, USA on December 8, 2014. This was followed by a “symbolic wedding” ceremony in the Philippines in January of 2015. The couple said they celebrated the second wedding here for the benefit of their family and friends who were not able to attend their US wedding.
Recently, Ice revealed that he spotted his mother Caridad Seguerra’s hilarious comment in a Facebook post. The said FB post asked netizens what they would reply when an ex messaged “mahal pa rin kita.” Caridad then commented “Neknek mo sabay tawa” which prompted Ice to hit the “haha” reaction. The singer-songwriter furthermore laughed at her mom’s activeness in leaving comments.
During his wife's daughter Amara's birthday, Ice posted a heartfelt birthday greeting. The singer shared that this was the first time for him to miss Amara’s birthday. Nevertheless, he feels glad that Amara, who turned 14, was able to spend some quality time with her biological father. Ice also expressed how proud he is of Amara, promising her that he will always love her and take care of her.
