Heart Evangelista and John Prats are set to reunite on the big screen more than two decades after their popular love-team partnership in the 2000s. The upcoming film will mark a new chapter for the former onscreen pair, with John also stepping behind the camera as its director.

In a report by Athena Imperial for “24 Oras” on Friday, Heart opened up about the project and explained why audiences should not expect a movie centered heavily on fashion or glamour.
“This would probably even be more myself. Even if I like to dress up, I mean, you’ll see little bits of it, but it’s really not about that. It’s really more about our hearts in the film. So it’s totally different from what I do,” Heart said.
The actress and fashion personality indicated that the film would explore a more personal side of her, making the reunion distinct from the projects audiences may normally associate with her.

The movie also gave Heart and John an opportunity to revisit their past. After seeing each other again 23 years later, John apologized to Heart for his shortcomings and for the way their former partnership came to an end.
“Yun na nga sinasabi ko na 'sorry' dun sa mga nangyari dati kasi never talaga kami nagkarooon ng conversation,” John said.
Heart acknowledged that their separation as a love team happened suddenly, leaving little opportunity for them to properly discuss what had happened.
“It was abrupt, too. Even the way our love team was taken away from us—it was abrupt,” she said.
Interestingly, Heart admitted that she never expected John to bring up the past when they met again. She explained that she had become occupied with life and had eventually put the experience behind her.
While the reunion movie brings back a familiar pairing, Heart is also taking a brief pause from another project. She recently wrapped the first season of her reality talk show, “The People Have Spoken,” and said the program will temporarily go on break.
