Rochelle Pangilinan and fellow SexBomb Girls members Aira Bermudez and Sugar Mercado shared their views on the ongoing discussion about whether parents should still be invited to their children's weddings despite family conflicts.

The topic was tackled during the pilot episode of Chika Cart, where Rochelle, Aira, and Sugar appeared as guests alongside hosts Baninay Bautista, Donita Nose, and Jeff Fernando.
Their discussion touched on the widely followed family issue involving gymnast Carlos Yulo, his fiancée Chloe San Jose, and his mother Angelica Yulo. The conversation came as Carlos and Chloe's upcoming wedding continued to draw public attention.
In a previous interview, Carlos said he did not intend to invite his parents to the wedding because he wanted to avoid possible tension during the occasion. The matter gained further attention after a friend of Angelica commented about the situation online.

Chloe later responded on social media and said that if Angelica wanted an invitation, she could communicate with them directly rather than going through another person. Chloe also addressed those who encouraged her to remain silent.
“I will never let anyone step on me and THAT I think is more classy, shows more character, independence and decency, towards myself and demonstrates courage.”
The controversy prompted the Chika Cart panel to discuss their own views on whether parents should remain part of such an important milestone.
Jeff Fernando, known on the program as the “Chika Authority,” stressed the importance of having a parent present at a child's wedding.
“Kasal 'yon ng anak mo, dapat nandoon 'yung nanay,” said Jeff.
Rochelle, meanwhile, pointed to the strong importance Filipinos traditionally place on family. For her, the situation can depend on the circumstances, but parents should still be considered for an invitation.
“Filipino tayo, natural sa atin na laging una 'yung pamilya,” said Rochelle.
The SexBomb leader also shared a personal memory involving her late father. Although he was no longer alive when she got married, Rochelle found a way to make him part of the celebration.
“Kahit nga tatay ko, patay na, picture ng tatay ko nasa bouquet ko. Sa tingin ko case-to-case basis. Dapat kasi in-invite pa rin 'yung magulang. Magulang 'yun, kahit anong mangyari,” she shared.
Donita Nose also gave a memorable reminder about the place of parents in one's life.
“Ang mga magulang ang hindi mo p'wedeng i-add to cart.”
Sugar likewise expressed her personal belief that inviting one's parents to a wedding can be a gesture of respect. She emphasized that while romantic relationships and one's own family may change over time, parents occupy a unique position.
“Sobrang love ko 'yung mga anak ko. In my own opinion, I would choose my parents to be there in my wedding. Syempre respeto 'yun; number one, sabi nga ni Ate Roc, hindi mo na mapapalitan 'yun, isa lang 'yun. Magkakaanak ka, magkakaasawa ka, jowa ka; pero ang magulang, iisa lang 'yan,” said Sugar.
The discussion highlighted the different personal perspectives surrounding family relationships, particularly when major life events such as weddings are involved.
