Yasmine and her husband, Alfred Vargas, previously filed a complaint regarding the alleged bullying experienced by their son months ago. The situation escalated after the parents of the accused publicly denied the allegations on social media, prompting a wave of online discussions and conflicting narratives.
In a lengthy statement, Yasmine explained that their family initially chose to handle the matter privately but eventually decided to speak out after continued online posts allegedly containing false claims.
She expressed gratitude for those who have supported them during this difficult time.

“In recent days, our family has been in the spotlight after we made the difficult decision to stand up for our son.
I am deeply thankful for the messages of support we’ve received, as well as the sincere questions from those who wish to understand what happened. I would like to respond with clarity and respect.
Yasmine also shared that she is naturally reserved and had hoped to resolve the situation quietly for the sake of their children, who she said have already endured emotional distress.
“For those who know me, you would understand that I am naturally shy and reserved, and not someone who looks for conflict. We tried to handle this quietly and peacefully—para sa kapakanan ng aming mga anak, na dumaan na sa matinding sakit at trauma.
But there comes a point when silence is no longer an option.”
As a mother, she emphasized that remaining silent was no longer possible when her family continued to be affected.
She then confirmed that legal action has now been taken.
“Today, I filed 20 counts of cyber libel.
Yasmine asserted that the allegations circulating online are untrue and damaging to their reputation, and that they are now seeking resolution through proper legal channels.
“These claims are false and are meant to damage our name and reputation.
She concluded her statement by thanking supporters and urging the public to be mindful of their words, especially on social media.
Let us choose kindness.
Bullying, in any form, has no place in our community.”
Alfred Vargas is married to Yasmine Vargas, also known as Yasmine Espiritu, who is often noted for her striking resemblance to actress Marian Rivera. Together, they have four children: Alexandra Milan, Aryana Cassandra, Alfredo Cristiano IV, and Aurora Sofia.
In a previous report, the couple celebrated the second birthday of their youngest daughter, Aurora Sofia, with a colorful and lively party. Photos shared online showed a vibrant setup, with Aurora enjoying activities like swimming and playing, along with her favorite treats. Yasmine also penned a heartfelt message highlighting her daughter’s joyful personality and expressed gratitude to those who helped organize the celebration.
Earlier, Alfred Vargas revealed during an interview on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda that he experienced “love at first sight” when he met Yasmine in 2008. Yasmine, on the other hand, admitted she had already admired him after seeing him on television and even told her grandmother that she believed he would one day become her husband.
