The comedian looked back on the emotional moment from his interview with Alden on “Gandang Gabi Vice,” explaining that the actor’s crying was so intense that Vice became concerned for him and questioned whether they should continue with the conversation.

“That breakdown took almost 10 minutes,” Vice recalled.

According to Vice, the extended emotional breakdown affected him deeply as he watched Alden struggle to contain his emotions. Rather than continuing to ask questions while the actor was visibly overwhelmed, Vice said he reached a point where he felt he should simply stop the interview.

“And parang ayaw ko ng ituloy yung interview kasi awang awa ako sa kanya,” Vice said.

The comedian emphasized just how emotional Alden became during the conversation.

“Grabe yung iyak nya,” he added.

Despite Vice’s hesitation, Alden reportedly insisted that they continue. The actor apparently wanted to finish the conversation and continue sharing what was on his mind, even after such an emotionally difficult moment.

“But he insisted to still continue,” Vice said.

Vice ended his reflection with an affectionate message for Alden, making clear that his decision to consider stopping the interview came from concern and compassion rather than a desire to avoid discussing difficult subjects.

“Haaaayyy!!! love you Alden!” Vice wrote.

The emotional exchange centered on Alden’s thoughts about finding love and the pressure he has experienced surrounding his romantic life. During the interview, the actor opened up about spending a long time hoping to find love in another person.

“For the longest time, I’ve been looking for love from another person, and I realized that what I was lacking was self-love,” Alden said while crying.

He clarified that this does not mean he has stopped hoping to meet the right person.

“Hindi ko sinasabing hindi ko hinihintay ’yung taong darating para sa akin,” he said.

Alden explained that he had spent a significant amount of time actively looking for the person he believed was meant for him. Now, he suggested that he might approach love differently by allowing the right relationship to happen rather than constantly trying to find it.

“Kasi for the longest time, hinahanap ko ’yung para sa akin, so baka for a change, hintayin ko naman siya ngayon,” he said.

The actor then expressed optimism that there must be someone among the billions of people in the world who could ultimately be the right person for him.

“Seven billion, imposibleng walang isa doon na para sa akin,” Alden said.

His willingness to speak openly about self-love allowed viewers to see a more vulnerable side of the actor, away from the polished image often associated with his career.

Alden Richards, known widely as “Asia’s Multimedia Star,” has established himself across several areas of Philippine entertainment, including acting, television hosting, music and film production. His rise to nationwide fame accelerated through the “AlDub” phenomenon on “Eat Bulaga!” before he went on to build an independent career as a leading actor. His filmography includes the major box-office successes “Hello, Love, Goodbye” and “Hello, Love, Again,” while his entrepreneurial work has also led him into film production through Myriad Entertainment.

Alden previously shared that his appearance on “Gandang Gabi Vice” became an opportunity for him to develop a closer friendship with Vice Ganda. Their taping allowed Alden to show his humorous and playful personality while also discussing more intimate aspects of his life with the comedian. Vice later revealed that their interaction did not end when filming wrapped, as Alden invited him to spend time together outside the program. Their extended conversation marked what was described as the potential beginning of a new friendship between the two entertainers.

Earlier, Alden Richards attracted attention on social media after reposting a pointed message concerning the arrest of former House Speaker and incumbent Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez. The material he shared presented a comparison between Romualdez’s mugshot and a photograph reportedly showing a 68-year-old man inside a jail cell. The repost drew attention to the contrasting circumstances presented in the images and became another instance of Alden using his social media platform to amplify a message about a widely discussed public issue.
