In an interview with Tessa Prieto for Tessa Real Estate PH, Ella shared the practical reason she and Enrique chose a home in Westgrove over a condo in Makati.
According to her, one major consideration was what they could get for their money. She pointed out that a home in the area could be comparable in price to a condo in Makati, but with the added advantage of owning land.
"It's actually the same price as a condo in Makati. But you have land," she said.

The celebrity explained that the idea made sense to both her and Enrique, especially considering property prices in Makati.
"So that's what felt really practical for my husband and I when we were looking at different options," Ella shared.
She recalled her husband telling her that it would be better for them to choose a place where they could have land.
"We should be where we have land and be practical also," she quoted him as saying.
Ella added that buying land in Makati would be difficult because of the prices there. Another factor was that her parents were already living in Westgrove.
The place was also far from unfamiliar to her.
She revealed that she has been living in Westgrove since she was 15, while she and Enrique have been staying in their own home there since they got married nearly three years ago.
For the new mom, living away from the busier parts of Metro Manila also gives her a sense of peace.
"I just kind of love how I have a little bubble," she said.
Ella explained that whenever she is at home, she truly feels that she is home. In contrast, her schedule becomes packed whenever she travels to the city, so she usually plans her appointments, errands, meetings, and other activities together.
Their home also reflects the couple's personalities.
Ella shared that she and Enrique both love vintage pieces, although they made sure their space would still feel suitable for a young couple. Her mother-in-law also helped with the interiors and allowed her to use some of her pieces.
Some paintings were collected by Ella and Enrique themselves, while other items have sentimental value, including a bar that came from her grandparents.
