Actor Mark Herras has finally addressed the viral video showing his emotional breakdown, putting an end to widespread speculation surrounding the incident.

In an interview on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, Mark clarified that the moment had nothing to do with financial problems or career struggles. Instead, he revealed that it stemmed from a deeply personal situation.

“Wala siyang koneksyon with money, with work. It’s a personal issue. Kailangan ko siyang i-post just to vent out. Kasi syempre I have depression, di ba. Paulit-ulit naman ako. So kailangan ko siyang ilabas,” Mark said.

The actor explained that posting the video was his way of releasing pent-up emotions, especially during a time when he felt he had no one to confide in due to his busy schedule balancing work and family responsibilities.

“Hindi ko siya nilabas just to get sympathy from people, never naman ako nag-po-post ng ganyan talaga. I don’t really posts things like that. Pero recently wala akong nakakausap na talangang ‘uy may problema ako’ ganyan kasi nga busy ako sa work, busy ako maghanap ng trabaho, busy ako sa family,” he said.

Mark shared that the breakdown followed a disagreement with his wife, Nicole Donesa. To avoid escalating the conflict in front of their children, he chose to leave their home temporarily.

“Nagkaroon kami ng away ni misis. So mayroon kaming ugali na para hindi lumaki ang away, aalis na lang ako ng bahay para siyempre hindi kayo magbungangaan — andon ‘yung mga bata eh, kawawa naman,” he said.

As he prepared to leave, memories of his children overwhelmed him, leading to his emotional moment. He stressed that his actions were not meant to gain public sympathy but to prevent himself from breaking down further.

“Kailangan ko lang mag-vent out para hindi ako ma-lost, hindi ako sumabog,” he added.
