Jericho Rosales made a lengthy post on Facebook where he shared the kind of life that he lived, how rough it was before he finally ended up in showbiz.

According to the 40-year-old actor, he had a rough life, he came from a poor family and had to go to 6 public schools.

He admitted that he did not go to college because back then, he did not know what a career meant and his family could not afford to send him to college.

The actor recalled that he would collect wires and old newspapers and would sell them to junk shops. He would then get paid for a small sum or cheap cheese curls.

He also collected plastic trash from a dumpsite with his cousin. He would also sell ice buko, sell fish in the market, and experienced being a jeepney barker.

"‬ I came from a poor family, went to 6 public schools in elementary and high school. Didn’t go to college because i didn’t know what career meant and we simply could not afford it. When i was young i collected discarded wires and old newspapers to be sold in junk shops in exchange for money and sometimes cheap cheese curls. I collected plastic trash from a dumpsite with my cousin, I sold ice buko (frozen coconut water with milk and sugar) , sold fish in the market, became a jeepney “barker”, a pizza boy and a driver."

Jericho said that he may not have had the "ideal life situation" but he had a dream and he had faith in God. He just kept on praying and moving.

"But I had a dream - to get myself and my family out of poverty and have our own house. That was my first major dream. I had faith in God and I also had time. So i prayed and prayed and never stopped learning new things. I kept moving. I kept my dream infront of me."

The actor's big break was in 1996 when he joined the "Eat Bulaga" talent search for "Mr. Pogi."

He taught himself to speak English through watching TV shows and movies and honed every skill he has.
