During the couple’s interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Thursday, August 13, host Boy Abunda brought up the criticism they have received over their children’s public presence. He noted that some people believe the children are being exposed too much to showbiz because of their endorsements and brand deals.
Doug explained that he considers the criticism one of the biggest misconceptions about their family. He pointed out that their children are not involved in television shows and do not have regular showbiz schedules.
“So I think that's the biggest misconception about our family. They say, 'I think you guys are overexposing your kids to masyadong showbiz.' But come to think of it, they're not part of any TV show. There's no regular schedule where it involves their time. They're full-time students, they're full-time athletes.”

Doug then explained that when the children do brand partnerships, the shoots are scheduled around their free time so they can continue with their usual activities.
“And if we do have any brand partnerships, ishu-shoot lang naming 'yun one of the weekends where they're free, and they're free to do all of their sports. They hang out with their friends.”
He also acknowledged that their family’s posts can attract significant attention online, which may contribute to the perception that the children are being overexposed.
“Probably kasi, when they do certain posts, nagba-viral 'yung mga video nila or pictures namin or whatever, and they think that's already overexposing.”
Boy then pointed out that what many people may not see is how carefully the family manages the children’s schedules. “No, ito yung mga bagay na hindi alam ng tao. Na ini-schedule ng tama,” the veteran talk show host said.
Chesca agreed with Boy’s observation and stressed the importance of proper scheduling when it comes to their children’s commitments.
