The handsome athlete was born in Iloilo City, Philippines on October 27, 1993. He is the oldest of the three children of Bong Ravena and Mozzy Crisologo-Ravena. He has a younger brother named Thirdy who also plays university basketball and a younger sister named Dani who plays volleyball.

His aptitude for sports and physical activities can be attributed directly to his father who used to play basketball for the Pasig-Rizal Pirates from 1998-1999. His mother, on the other hand, played volleyball for the UST Golden Tigresses.
