According to James Agustin’s report on GMA’s Balitanghali, the suspect was tracked down during a follow-up operation and arrested inside the Quezon City Hall compound on Tuesday. He allegedly resisted operatives from the Project 4 Police Station during the arrest.
Among the incidents investigated was a break-in at a restaurant in Barangay St. Ignatius shortly before 4:30 a.m. on October 19.
CCTV footage showed a man who appeared to be a delivery rider parking outside the establishment. After entering, he went straight to the cash register and searched through other belongings before leaving.

The report said ₱50,000 in cash and an expensive cellphone were taken from the restaurant. Employees discovered the incident when they arrived later that morning.
A police officer interviewed in the report said the workers noticed that the establishment’s door was already open. Upon checking inside, they found the counter and other belongings in disarray.
Earlier, at around 2:40 a.m., CCTV footage also reportedly captured the suspect stealing from another restaurant. Around ₱10,000 in cash and a laptop were taken in that incident.
Police said their follow-up investigation allowed them to establish the suspect’s identity and trace his whereabouts. According to the report, he was a Manila resident.
Investigators also located in Santa Cruz, Manila, the motorcycle allegedly used in several of the incidents. Some of its parts had already been replaced when it was found.
Further investigation linked the same suspect to a nail spa break-in on September 21 and a coffee shop incident on September 17. All four establishments were in Quezon City.
Authorities said dressing as a delivery rider was part of his alleged method of approaching potential targets.
“Iba’t ibang klaseng mga suot ng mga delivery riders natin ang ginagamit niya tuwing siya ay nagnanakaw,” a police officer said in the report.
The officer explained that the suspect would allegedly visit an area beforehand and survey establishments that he could target. Police described these visits as part of his preparation before the reported break-ins.
The stolen money and gadgets had not been recovered at the time of the report. Authorities also said QCPD records showed that the suspect had previously been jailed twice for theft.
When asked for his response to the allegations, the man gave a brief answer: “Korte na lang po magsasalita.”
According to Balitanghali, complaints for robbery and an alleged violation of the Motorcycle Crime Prevention Act had been filed against him. Establishments involved in the earlier incidents had also filed additional complaints.
