According to the report, police responded after the warehouse alarm went off early Wednesday morning. The 27-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene, and several construction tools allegedly stolen from the warehouse were recovered from him.
CCTV footage also showed the suspect appearing startled and panicked after hearing the alarm while inside the warehouse. Days before his arrest, he was reportedly seen moving suspiciously around the same establishment. Police said he would allegedly switch off the warehouse electricity to avoid getting caught.
Aside from the stolen tools, authorities also recovered a loaded revolver from the suspect. Investigators are now determining whether the firearm had been used in other crimes.

Police also revealed that the man had previously been jailed for robbery and was allegedly linked to a group. Since he was already familiar with the area, authorities believe he repeatedly returned to the warehouse to steal equipment.
The suspect also allegedly stole an air-conditioning unit, which he reportedly sold to a junk shop for P300. He admitted to the theft but insisted that he was angry at the warehouse owner because he was allegedly not paid for his last day of work as a mason.
In an interview, the suspect said, “Pinaghalo, hakot ko, buhos ko tapos hindi nila ako binayaran. Yung huling araw ko dapat P700, gusto pa nilang gawing half day, P350.” He added that he needed money to buy food for his family.
Media outlets attempted to get the side of the warehouse owner regarding the suspect’s allegations about his unpaid salary, but no statement had been released as of writing.
