The “That’s My Bae” 2015 grand winner posted a photo of himself with a shaved head as he prepared for another round of chemotherapy. Despite the seriousness of his ongoing treatment, Kenneth’s message carried an upbeat tone as he expressed excitement about moving forward with the next stage.
“Im ready and excited for my 2nd Chemo cycle today! One step at a time!” Kenneth wrote.
He also shared a reminder about the importance of not trying to handle everything at once.

“Wag pilitin sabayin lahat kasi baka magdugo kung pipilitin,” he added.
His latest post comes weeks after Kenneth first opened up more extensively about his experience with chemotherapy and the emotional challenges that have accompanied his cancer diagnosis.
In that earlier message, the performer addressed people who have undergone or are currently undergoing chemotherapy, recognizing that the experience can involve fear, exhaustion, and emotional strain.
“Shoutout sa lahat ng lumalaban at dumaan sa chemotherapy… One day, one treatment, one battle at a time,” Kenneth wrote.
Rather than presenting himself as someone who has everything figured out, Kenneth acknowledged that cancer treatment is far from easy. He said there are days when the journey becomes frightening, tiring, and emotionally draining, but emphasized his decision to continue fighting.
“Hindi man madali ang journey na ito, may mga araw na nakakatakot, nakakapagod, at emotionally draining,” he said.
Even amid those challenges, Kenneth said he has chosen to keep going, remain strong, and hold on to his faith. His message suggested that his belief in God has become an important source of strength while he navigates treatment.
“This is not the end of my story. This is just another chapter in my journey to healing,” Kenneth wrote.
He also admitted that he does not know what the future will bring, but said his faith allows him to face that uncertainty with trust.
“I may not know what tomorrow brings, but I trust that God is already there before I even get there,” he shared.
Kenneth extended that same encouragement to people dealing with struggles of their own, regardless of whether those battles are related to cancer or other difficult circumstances.
“To everyone fighting their own battles, keep going. You are stronger than you think,” he said.
He concluded his earlier message with a prayer for strength, courage, comfort, and complete healing, asking God to bless everyone going through similar experiences.
Kenneth Medrano became a nationally recognized performer after winning the “That’s My Bae” segment of “Eat Bulaga” in 2015. His dancing ability, natural charisma, and commanding presence on stage quickly attracted viewers and helped him develop a dedicated following. The victory became an important turning point in his entertainment career, allowing him to establish himself as a performer. Like Kenneth, other well-known personalities have also recently received public attention as they have shared their own experiences with cancer.
Kenneth previously disclosed that doctors had surgically removed one of his testicles after he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. The 2015 “That’s My Bae” grand winner explained that he does not feel embarrassed about undergoing the procedure because it ultimately played a crucial role in saving his life. The tumor was found in his right testicle, which doctors subsequently removed. Kenneth also revealed that his medical team continues to monitor his condition through follow-up examinations and tests to determine whether the cancer has spread elsewhere.
Before sharing his latest chemotherapy update, Kenneth also reached out to the public regarding a hospital bill that had reached ₱250,000. He acknowledged that while his social media posts could make it appear that he was cheerful and doing well, he was actually experiencing a particularly difficult emotional period. Kenneth asked for financial assistance from those who were in a position to help, but he also appealed to people who could not donate to remember him in their prayers. His request reflected the broader support he has received as he continues confronting cancer and undergoing treatment.
