A male vendor was wounded after a robbery turned violent at his small sari-sari store in Bacoor, Cavite. At first, the suspect pretended to be a customer before suddenly attacking the victim.

In a report from GTV News 'Balitanghali' on Tuesday, CCTV footage showed the entire incident. The suspect arrived on a motorcycle and wore a helmet, hiding his identity. He then approached the store located in Barangay Molino 3 and bought a bottle of water like a normal customer.

Once the store owner handed over the item, the suspect quickly grabbed the victim’s necklace. The sudden move caught the victim off guard, but instead of backing down, the store owner tried to take his necklace back from the robber.

Tension quickly rose when the suspect pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim. Despite the threat, the victim refused to give up and rushed toward the suspect and even kicked the motorcycle in an attempt to knock it over and stop him from escaping.

That was when the suspect fired his weapon. The victim was hit during the attack, causing him to fall and suffer injuries.

Two other companions of the victim arrived at the scene shortly after the shooting incident. However, the suspect had already fled before they could catch him.

Barangay tanod named Reynaldo Gonzaga said they found empty bullet shells in front of the store. According to witnesses, the suspect fired around three shots. The victim suffered wounds in the thigh and abdomen.

Responding barangay officers rushed the victim to the hospital for immediate treatment. Based on the latest update from his relatives, his condition is now stable.

Local authorities also revealed that this was not an isolated case. Barangay monitoring showed a similar robbery incident that happened in February. In that same case, a necklace was also the target of the suspect.

The incident has raised concern among residents, as criminals appear to be using the same method to carry out robberies in the area.

Police authorities are now working to identify the suspect and prevent similar attacks from happening again.

In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
