The police, in pursuit of a suspect, entered a house, causing a commotion.

According to a report by Bea Pinlac on GTV News Balitanghali, CCTV footage showed the 34-year-old victim walking along Durian Street in Camarin on Tuesday night.

Her destination was unclear, but she was later found dead in a canal on Avocado Street.

“Natagpuan na lang namin ‘yung victim doon sa may kanal. 'Yung bangkay na lang po ang na-recover natin doon sa crime scene. Ang tinitingnan natin mga motibo dito is drug related,” said Police Lieutenant Russelle Fang of Camarin Police.

After the incident, police launched a hot pursuit operation. A witness led them to a house where the suspect allegedly ran.

Viral videos showed a resident complaining that police forced their way into their home early Wednesday morning, allegedly damaging their gate. A heated argument between the police and residents was also captured.

"May tinatago ka ba? Ba’t nagagalit ka?” a police officer asked a woman.
“Talagang magagalit ako kasi nakakaistorbo po kayo sa amin eh. Tingnan niyo po ‘yung ginawa niyo sa amin. Welcome na welcome kayo riyan. Akyat po kayo riyan, wala pong problema. Tutal, nang-istorbo na rin lang kayo sa amin eh, akyatin niyo hanggang doon. Para namang napaka-kriminal ng hahanapin ninyo,” said the woman.

“Pagpasok naman namin ma'am doon sa lugar, open naman po 'yung gate. Wala naman po kaming sinira, wala po kaming nasaktan. Ang hinanap lang po namin doon is ‘yung suspect. Wala pong illegal na nangyari roon kasi hot pursuit 'yung ginawa po namin,” Fang explained.

They also justified searching a bag, claiming they sought evidence. The bag was later returned to its owner.

Caloocan police continue investigating both the killing and whether officers committed any violations.

The involved officers have been relieved from their posts pending further inquiry.
