The man then reportedly used a piece of cloth to slowly lower himself into the salon.

Police said the following moments were no longer captured because the suspect allegedly switched off the circuit breaker.

Authorities explained that the salon’s CCTV system was connected to a cellphone. An alert reportedly allowed the management to notice that someone appeared to be entering the establishment.

Police and barangay personnel responded to the area and later arrested the 31-year-old suspect.

He was allegedly found still hiding in the ceiling when authorities arrived.

Police also recovered ₱5,000 in cash reportedly taken from the salon.

Investigators said the suspect was able to reach the establishment through an adjacent vacant property. He reportedly went to the second floor before making his way toward the salon and damaging the ceiling to get inside.

The cloth allegedly used by the suspect to climb down was also left at the scene.
