Kainan sa Taguig City, nasira dahil sa pagsabog; portable butane gas pinaghihinalaang sanhi

- A stove explosion, caused by a portable butane gas leak, damaged part of a restaurant on Bayani Road, Barangay Western Bicutan, Taguig City, on Monday night

- Based on the report of ABS-CBN, seven people, including two children with minor burns, were injured and taken to the hospital, with the restaurant owner covering their medical expenses

- A nearby security guard reported hearing two consecutive explosions, and restaurant windows shattered, causing damage to a parked vehicle

- The explosion mainly affected one table, with estimated damages of P50,000, while no other nearby establishments were impacted

Part of a restaurant on the second floor of a building was damaged after a stove exploded on Bayani Road, Barangay Western Bicutan in Taguig City on Monday night, ABS-CBN News reported.

Initial investigation by the Bureau of Fire Protection indicated that the cause of the explosion was a portable butane gas leak.

“Ito pong kainan po na ito ang style po nito sa Korean unlimited so naggi-grill po sila, yung customer, and then bigla pong lumaki 'yung apoy. Mukhang nagkaroon ng konting singaw dun sa kanilang ginagamit na butane gas,” said the duty fire investigator.

According to the security guard of a nearby establishment, Rodelo Monteza, he heard two consecutive explosions from the area.

“Akala ko po eh sasakyan ('yung sumabog). Nung pumunta kami dun kasi nagtakbuhan na 'yung mga tao, dun ko na nalaman na 'yung barracks pala na samgyup kainan na lahat pala na salamin po sa taas nahulog isa lang po natira,” he said.

No one was injured in the incident, but seven were wounded, including two children who suffered minor burns and were immediately taken to the hospital.

“Sinagot naman ng may-ari ang pagamot sa kanila… Personal silang ina-assist ng may-ari,” the BFP said.

In other news, a land dispute in Mindoro ended in the tragic deaths of two people. Two others were wounded in the incident which shocked the peace-loving community. Authorities are looking at land dispute as the motive for the crime. The Occidental Mindoro Provincial Police Office have formed a special task force to investigate the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Still in other news, a father and his nine-year-old child, along with his nine-year-old relative died. They were riding a tricycle and on their way to school when they collided with a truck. Based on the investigation, as reported by GMA Regional TV One Mindanao, the tricycle tried to overtake a motorcycle. That was when it collided with a forward truck that was carrying motorcycles.
