Manny Pacquiao reflected on a prayer he and his wife, Jinkee Pacquiao, shared with Mary Jane Veloso years ago after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. granted her an absolute pardon.

On Friday, September 25, Manny shared photos on social media showing him and Jinkee with Mary Jane. One of the photos showed the three of them praying together.

Recalling their prayer from 2015, Manny described Mary Jane's pardon as an answered prayer. He wrote, "Answered prayers. In 2015 Jinkee and I prayed with Mary Jane Veloso and hoped she would be free. Now she has been granted an absolute pardon."

Manny then expressed gratitude for the development and shared his happiness for Mary Jane and her family. He continued, "We thank God for this blessing. Mary Jane, we are so happy for you and your family."

He ended his message with a statement of faith, writing, "With God, all things are possible."

It is worth noting that President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. granted Mary Jane an absolute pardon after she spent nearly 15 years on Indonesia’s death row before being returned to the Philippines in 2024.

In a social media post shared on Thursday, September 17, he described the recognition as “a blessing and a very humbling moment.” He used the occasion to remind young people to continue believing in themselves, work hard, stay humble, and hold on to their dreams despite challenges. Manny also thanked the PNU family for the special recognition and gave glory to God for the milestone.

Following Manny’s achievement, Jinkee Pacquiao also took to social media to express her pride in her husband. She celebrated his latest academic milestone and thanked the Philippine Normal University for recognizing Manny through the honorary degree.
