On Thursday, September 17, Manny shared photos from the graduation ceremony on social media, where he was conferred an honorary Doctor in Physical Education and Sports degree. Reflecting on the recognition, he described the moment as both a blessing and a humbling experience.
“What a blessing and a very humbling moment. Thank you to the Philippine Normal University for conferring upon me the degree of Doctor in Physical Education and Sports, Honoris Causa.
Life is full of surprises. Who would have thought? But this is a reminder that no matter where you start in life, keep believing, keep working hard, stay humble, and never give up.”

Manny also used the milestone to encourage young people to continue pursuing their dreams regardless of where they started in life.
“To all the young people who have big dreams, keep going. Your beginning does not have to define your destination. And when success comes, make it more meaningful by using it to lift others.”
He concluded his message by expressing his gratitude to the university for the warm welcome and special recognition, while giving credit to his faith.
