After the incident, SM Malls released a statement saying the guard was relieved of his duties and banned from all SM branches.

According to Dimples Romana's report on TV 5's 'Gud Morning Kapatid,' the agency mentioned the guard could still resume work by being assigned to a different location.

The security guard involved in the incident together with some representatives of his agency have already attended a "clarification meeting" with the PNP.
