Manny Pacquiao is a Filipino boxing legend, politician, and philanthropist widely regarded as one of the greatest boxers in history. Known as “PacMan,” he made history as the only boxer to win world titles in eight different weight divisions. His success and fighting style made him an international sports icon and brought pride to the Philippines.
Beyond boxing, Manny entered politics and served as a congressman and later as a senator. He is married to Jinkee Pacquiao, with whom he has children. Despite his fame and wealth, he is also known for his humble beginnings and charitable efforts to help Filipinos in need.
As previously reported by KAMI, Manny reflected on Mary Jane Veloso’s long-awaited freedom and recalled the prayer he and his wife, Jinkee, shared with her years ago. On social media, Manny shared photos of himself, Jinkee, and Mary Jane, including a photo of the three of them praying together. He remembered praying with Mary Jane in 2015 and hoping that she would one day be free. Mary Jane was eventually granted an absolute pardon by President Bongbong Marcos after spending nearly 15 years on Indonesia’s death row.
Earlier, Manny also marked another significant milestone after receiving an honorary Doctor in Physical Education and Sports degree from the Philippine Normal University. In a social media post on Thursday, September 17, he described the recognition as “a blessing and a very humbling moment.” He encouraged young people to believe in themselves, work hard, remain humble, and hold on to their dreams despite challenges. Manny also thanked the PNU family for the recognition and gave glory to God for the milestone.
