- A high school teacher who was busy having documents photocopied at a printing shop found herself robbed of almost 300K pesos in cash and possessions

- In a video report by GMA News, a CCTV footage showed the said teacher busily arranging some papers at a counter while an individual appeared to be waiting behind her

- According to police authorities, the said individual, which they subsequently arrested, is the perpetrator of the theft

A high school teacher who was attending to some documents, which she said were grades of her students, that she’s having photocopied at a printing shop was robbed of almost 300K pesos in cash and belongings.

In a video report by by GMA News, a CCTV footage showed the teacher busily attending to her documents at a counter while another person seemed to be waiting behind her.

Police authorities said that the said person waiting behind her and pretending to be one of the customers of the printing shop is the perpetrator of the theft.

The video didn’t show the actual theft, though the CCTV footage did show the suspect briskly walking out of the printing shop holding what appeared to be a bag.

According to the police, carted away the bag owned by the high school teacher, which contained two mobile phones, a laptop she uses for classroom instructions, some cash including the almost 40K pesos she’s supposed to use for her kids’ school tuition fee, and several credit cards, ATM cards, and IDs.

“Actually po nung ako'y magbabayad na, napansin ko po yung bag ko wala na sa aking tabi. Dun na po nagsimula na parang natuyuan na ako ng laway, di ko na alam gagawin ko, parang mahihimatay ako, na talagang humingi na ako ng tulong kung saan-saan,” the victim, in an interview over GMA News, said.

The suspect has since then arrested by authorities but unfortunately, most of the things that the teacher had in her bag which was taken away by the suspect is already gone.

They were able to recover the credit cards and ID’s, as well as the two mobile phones, but the money is already gone, as well as the laptop that the victim is using to teach.

“Nahihirapan po ako ngayon. Almost two days na nga po akong hindi masyado makapagturo kasi nga po nandun yung mga files ko,” the high school teacher said.

GMA News said that the victim is determined to file a case against the suspect.

In the CCTV footage shared by the news network, one could see how one of the riding-in-tandem entered his home. However, a successful robbery was not carried out.
